Liverpool Land In Barcelona For Warm-Weather Training To Refresh The Team

Liverpool have touched down in Barcelona this week with warm-weather training Jurgen Klopp's antidote to being on the wrong end of the seven-goal thriller against Bournemouth.

The Reds' 15-game unbeaten streak came to a crashing end at the Vitality Stadium and Klopp is looking for his side to enjoy some time away to ensure the result doesn't spark a slump.

Liverpool have no midweek fixture, meaning the calendar is free for a two-day camp in Catalonia.

Their next game is on Sunday, meaning plenty of time to recover and prepare to face West Ham at Anfield.

The Reds are down to third after Arsenal's victory over the Hammers and lost ground on leaders Chelsea at the top.

Klopp revealed he suspected the comeback would emerge after being dissatisfied by his side's performance at half-time, despite the two-goal lead.

"Two-nil up but then already we didn't play too well," Klopp conceded.

"I didn't like it too much I told the boys at half time the first half wasn't perfect.

"We already showed that at 2-0 the game is not done because we were too static in our passing, we were keeping the ball too long in the wrong moments, passing too late."

Loris Karius' performance was heavily scrutinised after his role in Nathan Ake's match-winner, with Reds legend Jamie Carragher questioning whether he is good enough, but Klopp defended the German shot-stopper.

“No concern. No problem, if you make mistakes you get criticised," Karius admitted.

"That's what happens in life. If you have quality... I'm sure people criticised Jamie Carragher in his career, if there's a reason I'm not sure."
