A fight between David Haye and Anthony Joshua may realistically be close to a year away, but the Hayemaker has already begun to taunt his domestic heavyweight rival.
IBF champ Joshua makes the second defence of his world title against Eric Molina next week, while Haye is preparing for his grudge match against Tony Bellew in March.
Should both fighters record victories, a showdown between the duo could take place later next year, after Joshua's pencilled in clash with Wladimir Klitschko.
And Haye has started the war of words, saying no-one is talking about Joshua's upcoming bout.
He said: “You have got Anthony Joshua defending his title in a week and I’ve heard zero talk about it.
“I’ve got a fight happening on March 4 and it’s headline news and fans are really excited about it.
“Most people haven’t heard of Eric Molina so it’s not getting people excited but my fight does.
“This fight with Bellew will show that me against Joshua is massive.
“When they see the numbers and the excitement that you don’t get in a Joshua fight they will realise we need David Haye to fight Anthony Joshua.
“The backers at Sky will think,Why not fight David Haye’ because they have spent a lot of money on him.
“Me against Joshua would break all records.
“Sky TV will put a lot of pressure on Eddie Hearn to free up his cash cow, there’s only so many times you can fight people like Molina.”
