Rivers United wins Super 4 Title

Rivers United Football Club yesterday emerged the Nigeria Professional League Super 4 title after beating Wikki Tourists 1-0 on the final day of the competition at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

United pipped pre-tournament favourites, Rangers to the title as the Coal City club failed to beat local rivals, FC IfeanyiUbah in an encounter which ended 1-1.

Rangers placed second while Wikki and FC IfeanyiUbah placed third and fourth respectively.
