Golden States Warriors Defeats Timberwolves

The Golden State Warriors steam train is gaining momentum and last years NBA Finals runners-up extended their current winning streak to 11 games as they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-102 at Oracle Arena on Saturday.

It was an exciting game in Oakland as the Warriors looked to their dangerous trio of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson to get the points and they did just that. Curry lead all scorers with 34 points, Durant weighed in with 28 and Thompson scored 23.

The Timberwolves were in the game for large portions of it and Zach LaVine has started to gain more influence as his shooting has improved tremendously. He was Minnesota’s main point scorer, ending the game with 31 points. The Wolves did see their other starters making telling contributions in the loss, Karl-Anthony Towns scored 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds, Andrew Wiggins scored 16 points in total and Senegal’s Gorgui Dieng scored 15 points, grabbed six boards, dished two assists, blocked two shots and stole the ball once.
