KATIE TAYLOR SHINES ON HER DEBUT AS SHE DEFEATS KARINA KOPINSKA

The amateur star made the ideal transition to the paid ranks as she outclassed Polish opponent Karina Kopinska.
Super-featherweight Taylor won every prize available in the amateur code and her speed and hard-hitting display suggested she could go some way to repeating the feat in the professional game.
Taylor started the contest fast, landing some razor sharp combinations as the right hand continued to breach the defence of her Polish counterpart in the first round.
The 30-year-old was clearly out to impress and stalked down Kopinska in the second, continually hammering a left hand to the head and body.
The Irish favourite showed no signs of slowing in the next stanza as the sharp punches continued to be fired home and after a barrage of unanswered shots, the referee had seen enough and waved off proceedings.
Speaking to Reporters afterwards, Taylor said: "It's an absolute privilege to be here, this is obviously a huge night for women's boxing. This is my pro debut, I don't want to get too carried away.
"This is only the start and I hope to be a multi-weight champion."
