Former Bayern Munich midfielder, Ze Roberto, claims his former club made the wrong decision to appoint Carlo Ancelotti has their new manger.
Ze Roberto, who won four league and cup doubles with Bayern between 2002 and 2009, has doubts about whether the Italian will be able to turn things around.
"Bayern made a mistake by appointing Carlo Ancelotti," said the 42-year-old, who won the Brazilian title with Palmeiras at the weekend, to Sport1 television.
"But it's hard to find a coach on the same level as Pep Guardiola, or somebody who at least has a similar philosophy."
Bayern will also miss out on top spot in their Champions League group this year after suffering defeats to Atletico Madrid and Rostov.
The German giants always topped the pile under Guardiola, who led them to three straight semi-finals.
