Mauricio Pochettino dedicated Tottenham's win over Aston Villa to new dad Harry Kane.
Spurs striker Kane was given the day off to be with his partner Kate Goodland who gave birth to a baby girl, Ivy Jane, on Sunday morning.
Pochettino, whose side beat Aston Villa despite making nine changes, said: “It’s better to explain after a 2-0 win and he put the news on Twitter.
“We want to send from here a big hug to Kate his partner. It was a difficult night for her. Now he’s OK. Beautiful girl but Harry was more tired than his wife!
“His face was terrible. We sent him home to sleep. He was at hospital all night waiting. She was born at 7.30am. It’s fantastic and very good news for our family.”
Kane later tweeted he was “so proud” and it was “an amazing feeling.”
Dele Alli had to come from the bench to change the game for Spurs who later ran out with a 2-0 win, thanks to goals from Son and Ben Davies.
