Sevilla Puts an End To Real Madrid Unbeaten Run

Extraordinary things do happen in the game of football, and miracles were surely in the air as Sevilla came from a goal down to end Real Madrid 40 games unbeaten run in Seville.

Prior to this game, both side played each other during the week where Real Madrid knocked Sevilla out of the Copa del Rey, after playing 3-0 and 3-3 respectively. But it was Sevilla who had the last laugh as they broke Madrid's unbeaten run of 40 games.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his record 56th La Liga penalty as he put Madrid ahead in the tie on the 65th minute after Sevilla's goalkeeper Rico brought down Cavarjal in the box.

The drama really came at the dying stages of the game when Sergio Ramos scored his first own goal in La liga in the 85th minute, heading the ball into his own post.

It was looking like Madrid would still extend their unbeaten run to 41, until, Stefan Jovetic making only his debut for Sevilla inLa liga scored in the 90+ minutes of the game to stop Madrid.

Real Madrid will live to fight another day !!

The title race is surely thrown wide open, and let's wait and see what happens now.
