Yaya Toure Rejects 430,000 a Week offer To Stay In England

Yaya Toure has turned down a money-spinning offer to move to China.

The midfielder is out of contract in the summer and was widely expected to leave Manchester City.

Toure was exiled at the start of the season after comments made by his agent towards Pep Guardiola.

However, he has been brought back into the fold by Pep Guardiola in recent weeks and could complete a staggering U-turn by signing a new deal.

Toure is said to have snubbed a £430,000-a-week offer from China to stay at the Etihad, at least until the end of the season, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Toure is hoping to sit down with the Blues at the end of the season to discuss his future – after muzzling his mouthy agent Dmitri Seluk.

He rebuffed offers from China after being exiled by Guardiola and those offers have increased.

But with his family settled in Cheshire, Toure has expressed no interest in a move that could have netted him a cool £22million a year, double his current wage.

Guardiola had also been unhappy that the player was overweight when he returned for pre-season training.

But with the row settled, Toure is back in the fold and is now a first team regular after Ilkay Gundogan was ruled out for the season through injury.

Seluk, a frequent voice in the media, has also gone quiet, with friends of Toure claiming the player has finally gagged him – and that opens up the possibility of another deal in the summer, when his current contract expires.
