Shocking !!!! What this Rugby player Did To A Female Official During A game Would Make You Cry

The Italian rugby federation has handed out its longest ever punishment in 20 years, to an Argentine rugby player who intentionally tackled a female official during a match.

Bruno Andres Doglioli has been handed a three years suspension by the federation following the incident.

Bruno Andres Doglioli purposely clattered into referee Maria Beatrice Benvenuti during a fixture between Vicenza and Valsugana.

Benevenuti handed Doglioli a yellow card for the incident, and finished the game before heading to hospital, where she was diagnosed with whiplash.

Vicenza had already elected to suspend the player, before today's ruling, which is likely to bring the 33-year-old's professional career to an end.

“It’s an incident for which there is no justification whatsoever,” the club said in a statement. “It was a momentary loss of control by the player who, in decades of playing, has always behaved professionally and correctly.

“Bruno Doglioli, aware of the severity of what happened, wants to first of all send to referee Maria Beatrice Benvenuti his most sincere regrets.

"At the same time, he apologises to his team-mates, members of the club, sponsors and the fans for an incident that risks damaging the image of this marvellous sport.”

Benvenuti, 23, has previously officiated in the women’s sevens tournament at the Rio Olympics and also took part in the 2014 Women’s World Cup.
